Learning and Development Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Administration:
- Manage and oversee end-to-end processes for training requests, approvals, and schedules using internal systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, certifications, and compliance reports within the company’s training databases.
- Organize logistics for in-person and virtual training sessions, including venue arrangements, technology setup, participant tracking, and resource allocation.
- Manage vendor relationships for external training providers, ensuring quality and alignment with company goals.
- Regularly update and maintain training databases to ensure data accuracy and accessibility for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Provide technical and administrative support to trainers and employees regarding training materials and resources.
- Assist in preparing the learning and development budget, including cost estimates for training sessions, materials, and external providers.
- Track and manage training expenditures to ensure alignment with allocated budgets.
- Draft and circulate inter-office memoranda related to budget allocation and approval for training programs.
- Collaborate with finance and management teams to optimize resource allocation and control costs effectively.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of learning initiatives
- Ensure all training records, databases, and processes are audit-ready and comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Conduct periodic reviews of training documentation to identify and address discrepancies or gaps.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate in designing and implementing pre-assessments, post-assessments, and other tools to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Collect and analyze training feedback and metrics from databases to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create visual reports and presentations to communicate training impact and progress to management.
- Lead the development and refinement of training modules based on data-driven insights and organizational priorities.
- Propose innovative training solutions and stay updated on the latest trends in learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in learning and development or training administration, preferably in a corporate IT or engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience with training databases and e-learning platforms (preferred).
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced organizational and multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with expertise in data interpretation and visualization.
- Experience in budget management or familiarity with budget planning and tracking.
- Proactive and innovative, with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
