Vulnerability and Forensics Analyst

Job Description:

Responsible for identifying security vulnerabilities, conducting forensic investigations, and assisting in the protection of an organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves working with security tools, analyzing security incidents, and supporting cybersecurity teams in maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:


• Perform vulnerability assessments using security tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
• Identify, analyze, and report security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Assist in digital forensics investigations, including evidence collection and analysis.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, escalating as needed.
• Support penetration testing activities and remediation efforts.
• Document and report findings with recommendations for mitigation.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to improve security posture.
• Assist in security audits and compliance assessments.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10, CVEs) and mitigation strategies.
• Understanding of digital forensics principles, including evidence collection and chain of custody.
• Basic knowledge of security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Autopsy, FTK, EnCase, Metasploit).
• Familiarity with network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and security controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate security
