Job Description
- Installs and distributes software in line with license agreements and ePLDT policies and procedures
- Maintains records of all software installations and recoveries
- Carries out modifications to systems in routine operation to meet changes in requirements or to correct errors
- Uses standard utilities set up routines to protect file integrity / security and to stop invalid access to systems
- Carries out modifications to standard software and configurations to improve the efficiency of operation
- Advises the teams on placement of files / database areas and assist in their setting up,
- Assists IT Operations and teams with security, save and recovery procedures of data and software, makes recommendations for changes to existing procedures as appropriate
- Advises the teams on the use of standard software and assists them in the use of it
- Keeps up to date on the standard software currently in use and on the relevant new software becoming available
- Provides 24/7 support on the Cyber Security infrastructure relative to the appropriate level including servers, SAN, desktop PC’s and all critical operating systems and ensures all equipment and software relative to level is maintained to a high standard
- Takes responsibility and ownership for the hardware and software under own responsibility (i.e., relative to level) to ensure maximum availability
- Undertakes special projects as directed by the Infrastructure Management Head
- Monitors and trends service performance of IT infrastructure relative to level to ensure sufficient capacity planning for future growth, planned or unplanned
- Takes responsibility for L2 support for equipment or products relative to level
Ensures compliance to all policies, procedures, standard operating practices, with recommendations for action and continuous improvement
Job Qualification
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Business Administration or any 4-5-year course
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in IT infrastructure and Security Solutions
- Preferably with Certification in IT and Security Operating/Administrating
- Has skills in Business and technical Writing, Project Management and Resource Planning
- With average Communication/Technical Writing Skills
- Certification in Cyber Security Internal Training Program, Operating/Administering IT infrastructure and Security Solutions
